DAVID D'OR- WOMAD LONDON AND SINGAPORE 2007

"WOMAD, the yearly event in London, is the biggest and most important World Music festival, and this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. Among this year's participants as also the founder - The legendary British musician Peter Gabriel.

In WOMAD this year participated also David D'Or, who enchanted the audience with a total Hebrew performance, Jewish prayers, his own hits, and Israeli folk songs.

David's performance on the third day of the festival was announced by a Shofar, just at sunrise...

...It was a surrealistic picture to see thousands of guests deep in the rain and mud dancing Hava Nagila and singing in Hebrew in excitement.

David and his group's performance was a great success, Peter Gabriel watching it with great pleasure . the BBC crew on location decided to record and send David's participation in the festival in spite of the limited broadcasting time, and the fact that they were mainly concentrating on the 'big names' in the business. Andi McGregor, BBC reporter said: "David is this year's WOMAD discovery, if you ask me.... he has an amazing voice, and this was the greatest vocal performance, and one of the highlights of the festival"...
